Conference

This year, RJS LAW is working closely with University of San Diego School of Law to hold the Inaugural USD School of Law — RJS LAW Tax Controversy Institute on December 2nd, 2016 at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. Our Institute strives to be the premier tax controversy event in Southern California, bringing together the region’s top tax attorneys, CPAs, and Law and Business School professors to discuss topics including federal and state audit strategies, tax penalties, and criminal tax matters.

This one-day conference will bring together sophisticated tax practitioners from the federal government, academia, and private practice to discuss federal and state audit strategies, tax penalties, and criminal tax matters. The Institute will provide practical advice from top leaders in the tax field as well as give attendees an opportunity to network with leading tax professionals. In attendance will be attorneys, tax preparers, chief executive officers, chief financial planners, trust officers, and more. We have assembled a line-up of renowned experts such as Lavar Taylor, Fred Witt, Todd Gillman, Steve Toscher and Martin Schainbaum to name a few, who will closely examine the most important issues in tax. Tax attorneys, CPAs, enrolled agents, tax preparers, and students are all welcome to attend.
